Damien and I have enjoyed our summer so far and this is only the beginning! We went to Moab, UT with Nate and Alisa and hiked around in Arches National Park and Canyonlands. We ended up having a really great time, but it was definitely the most memorable trip to Moab we have ever been on.
When we got into Moab we found out that there was a classic car show going on that weekend, so there were lots of people in town. We drove around for probably about three hours trying to find a campsite. When we were about ready to leave town and head for home we stopped at one last place. It is one of those camping places where they cram a million tents and campers into a really small space. So we had a fence behind our tent that separated us from the tent behind us. We had tents on both sides of ours and more right across the dirt road. The guy across the way from us drove up on his Harley very late and was very drunk. He must have brought some lady back with him because Damien, Nate, and Alisa all heard them getting busy that night. Apparently it happened three times and finally the third time Damien yelled "Shut Up!" That is what woke me up because I slept through the whole thing thankfully. The picture below is a picture of their campsite.

We saw this big horned sheep on our drive into Canyonlands.

The second day in Moab we found a new campsite since the car show had ended. It was really windy that day though so we put almost everything we brought with us in our tent including our cooler and some large rocks we found before we left our site to go hiking. When we got back to our campsite that evening, this is what we came back to.
Thankfully our cooler didn't open and we got everything out, flipped the tent back over, and then put everything back in.
And we roasted some marshmallows and had these really good desserts that Alisa made for all of us with bananas, chocolate chips, and marshmallows! Yum!
I tripped on our first hike of the day in Moab scrapped my knee up. This is what it looked like when we took the band aid off.

Overall, we had a great time and Alisa did great being 8 almost 9 months pregnant!
