Hello Hotlanta

We have been in Atlanta for three weeks now and we quite enjoy it! The weather is nice and warm and there is a lot of culture and interesting people to watch. We really like our apartment and it is only about 2 miles from Damien's work. Here are some pictures of where we live.

An apartment building.

Our entry way looking past the kitchen counter and into the living room.

The living room with our wall of windows. I like these windows a lot because I can watch all of the happenings in the pool and BBQ areas.

Our bedroom with a walk-in closet! Yes, this apartment has a bedroom unlike our last and I really like it!

The gym.

My favorite amenity, the pool!

My mom is coming to visit tomorrow while Damien goes for a week of training in Denver. I'm very excited to explore more of Atlanta with her!

Goodbye Provo

It's been sad to leave Provo behind; the place where Damien and I met and lived for our first few years of marriage. We enjoyed our time there and took a few pictures of special locations before we left!

The building we spent most of our college careers in.

The BEST cupcakes in Provo, The Sweet Tooth Fairy. We had to have one last one right before we left.

The apartment I lived in when Damien and I met.

Damien's apartment that year.

Our landlord's beautiful house!

The backyard where we had our New Orleans party and weenie roast.

Our first apartment = 292 sq. feet.

The inside of our apartment with all of our belongings out.

The best landlords we could have asked for, Gene and Argie.

Goodbye...we will be back some day.

The Farmers Market

On Saturday, Damien and I had the chance to go to the Dekalb Farmers Market and it was huge! They are open everyday of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas day. They have everything and anything you can imagine. All sorts of fruit and vegetables I have never seen before! Spices, pasta, foreign cheeses, and a meat market.

The meat market was quite interesting. The butchers were working there right in front of you cutting up fish and other pieces of meat. I was okay, although the smell of fish was strong, until we got around to the beef. As I was peering into the glass case as we walked by I was greeted be a large tub, and I mean LARGE tub, of these...

Yes, they are cow tongues. I lost my appetite for lunch at this point.

But it was a fun experience and I plan on returning soon. I have enjoyed some kiwi, blackberries, blueberries, and baguettes from here. All have been delicious!

We Graduated!

Damien and I have both graduated from college! I finished in December and Damien in April. Eden, Damien's sister, graduated last April from BYU Idaho. Eden and I both love the fact that we graduated before Damien. Thus the picture above showing our order of graduation!

Damien and I got to walk together in April. All of the family was there for the event and we had a great time! It feels so good to have us both done with school!

There is Nothing Like a Crumbs' Cupcake

On our trip to NYC we found the best cupcake place called Crumbs. They have the most delicious cupcakes and they come in a million flavors! I've been thinking about them ever since our trip, along with those New York bagels from Murray's. Yesterday I was greeted at my door by a box of those delicious cupcakes!!! Rita had a box of cupcakes sent to us from Crumbs. It was a fabulous surprise and will help us continue getting settled in here in Atlanta.

We may or may not have eaten two already!
